Here all the fingerings that produce each tone of the quena's three octaves are examined from the lowest pitch to the highest. Octaves are numbered, and the octave number follows the pitch name. For numbering purposes, an octave is the range of tones from any C to the next higher B. The lowest tone of the standard quena is G4, meaning the G that is just higher than middle C (C4) of the piano. |
